I can't believe

that I'm still studying....

It's 11:16 pm on a Saturday night and where are my friends? Oh there over at the XO sorority raving. RAVING!!! And where am I??? I'm still studying!!! And I choose to stay home!!! Wow is all I have to say. My grades must be really worth a lot to me, or I must be starting to become responsible. Now, I'm not saying that I have been working and studying all day long. I've been taking breaks, made dinner, and am kinda watching a discovery show about the internet while making notes and doing work. But I've probably spent 8 solid hours working, and its a Saturday MY DAY OF REST!!!!. All that I have done is what to me seems like brief sporadic studying and a MAT LAB based Linear Algebra project, but when I look at the clock I say to myself "no way".

Now, I'm not trying to toot my own horn. I'll be the first to tell you that I could work much harder, but come on its a Saturday. And to think, work is only going to pick up from here since there is less than a month of classes left. Oh well, I'll make it. I always have. Well, this was certainly therapeutic. At least my friends won't have to hear me complain, ha.

Phi Kappa Sigma

So about almost six months ago I was asked if I wanted to join the Phi Kappa Sigma gentlemen's fraternity at Clarkson. After looking at the organization and it's members (who mainly consist of many of my friends) I decided that it was worth it. The core values of the fraternity; Honor, Respect, Responsibility, Trust, Wisdom, Integrity, and most importantly Knowledge; line up with my own moral code. What really helped me make my decision was there zero tolerance policy towards hazing. Also, they only admit goal oriented, academically minded men who they believe have good moral characters. While this is definitely a social fraternity we work harder than we play, we have to in order to maintain good gpa's. However, I believe it was a great decision and would advise any college guys who think this is right for them to do it.

I put together this video about it, enjoy.

This one goes out to

da fambly

So, family and friends, you are the main reasons I started this blog. I just wanted there to be a place where people can read about how I'm doing and stay informed, if there interested, without me having to contact everyone. Not that I'm not interesting in talking to you (family and friends)(and gf <333) but I just thought I could put up messages, stories, pictures, and videos from whats going on, mainly as I start my job in Greene for 6 months.

So heres the deal with the job so far. I got this internship that lasts six months so its called a "coop" with Raymond Corporation from May until December. This means that I will be spending a summer and semester of school by myself in my own apartment working in the real world. While I will miss everyone (especially you ashli ;) ) this job will be really good for me. They say ill be doing something in electrical design, but what exactly I am uncertain. I already got a GREAT place next to a picturesque river that is overlooked by a wrap around porch with this little swinging bench. The place includes everything. Now when I say everything I don't just mean electricity, water, heat, and garbage. I also mean to say that it is FULLY furnished, huge for a one bedroom, has dishes pots and pans, and even window treatments and linens (though I will use my own). It has this big queen size bed that looks great to. The only thing I have to pay for other than rent for this place is cable, internet, and food. So, I'm pretty happy with it. I will be sure to post pictures of it once I move in. And, I'll be sure to let you know how the job is, what the town is like, and what I'm up to.

I'll try to post at least a couple of times a week, but I'm going to leave this one up for at least a couple of days so people can see it.

Defy Convention

So I managed to find a great little video on youtube about my school.

Do you defy?

I think its a pretty good picture of the kinds of things we do. I know that I've experience my own triumphs and troubles at Clarkson. So, I guess I defy.

Finals are comming

Finals...ahhh!

They are rapidly approaching. I have tests before tests after tests. Its difficult to find time to study with all of these test. Well, at least all of my fellow students are feeling the same way. Were all in this together and all that jazz. Just remind yourself what your working for, they say. Well, I'm going to have to if I'm going to make it through, which ofcourse I'll do. Not a quitter cause quitters never win, right?

Off to study for another test. We will see how this one goes. Oh yeah then theres one after that, and then a few days later, and that project, oh and i can't forget.....
